Mia Dreis – 2025 Recipient

Hi! My name is Mia Dreis and I have lived in Leavenworth my whole life. Growing up in this incredibly special place has had countless effects on the person I’ve become, one of those being my love for art. Whether it was my preschool teachers at Mountain Sprouts, my parents, or instructors throughout middle and high school, I was always being encouraged to develop my artistic skills and take them seriously. I am forever grateful to those people as their support ensured I continued to value my talents and strive to achieve my artistic goals. I will be attending the University of Southern California in the fall to major in Civil Engineering with a minor in Themed Entertainment. I hope to one day work for Disney as an Imagineer and use art to contribute to enjoyment for all people.

The Village Art In The Park scholarship is not only an important financial gift, but a testament to the organization’s belief in my abilities. I am beyond honored to receive this award and am incredibly grateful to get help attaining my education and further developing myself as an artist.
