Jeanne Whitney has been watercoloring since not long after she was born. With encouraging parents and obsessive focus she has taken it far enough to teach it now and to continue to add skills, and new medias, like etching. She loves drawing people and has painted the beautiful faces of many people, animals, flowers, and landscapes. She also loves to illustrate, and has illustrated 20+ books, recently writing and illustrating A Seed Story, or the Curious Odyssey of Cisco the Seed, and illustrating The Girl That Lost Things by George MacDonald. She lives in the Cascade Mountains in a log cabin with her husband, dogs and visiting grandchildren who paint along with her. She is a member of the Women Painters of Washington, The Society Of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and NorthWest Watercolor Society.
