Marv Cummins was first introduced to gourds in Casa Grande, AZ.  His art has been featured at a Monterey, CA art gallery and he has displayed at many art fairs and has sold over a thousand gourds.  He has sold all along the West Coast; however his primary market has been the Pacific Northwest where he spends his summers.  His decorated gourds have been shipped worldwide.

In College Marv majored in art with an emphasis on art history, particularly early Indian Art using natural materials.  Today his gourd designs reflect this love of nature, as well as his knowledge of American Indian designs.  Marv has also spent time as a docent and director of American Indian museum in Southern CA which has heavily influenced his art today.
